Hire AI developers

AI developers who put the model inside a product, not a demo.

Acasa Labs is a small software team in Surat, India. You can hire an AI developer, including RAG developers, from the team that built NoteTube's grounded study tools, SigmaCPM's tender extraction that cites every value, Kraftr's image generation pipeline, and Acasa Sentinel's local video analytics. A senior reviews every pull request, and you start with a trial week.

Trial week first. You own the code.

The problem

The prototype answered well. Then real users arrived.

An AI demo takes a weekend. A feature people trust takes much longer: retrieval that finds the right passage, answers that cite a source, costs that do not surprise you, keys that never reach a browser, and a way to know whether this week's change made answers better or worse. You need a developer who has built the boring parts around the model, because those are what make it work.

The role

What your AI developer does

  1. 01

    Builds retrieval over your material

Parsing, chunking, embeddings, and search in Qdrant or pgvector, scoped per user or team, so answers come from your documents and point to them.

  2. 02

    Extracts data you can check

Fields pulled from PDFs, scans, and forms with OCR where needed, each tied to the page it came from, with a person reviewing what the model is unsure of.

  3. 03

    Runs models behind your API

Keys, prompts, and model choice on the server, streaming answers to web and mobile clients, with token cost recorded on every call.

  4. 04

    Measures before it ships

A test set of real questions or documents, scored on each change, so quality moves in one direction.

From production

The AI work behind the people you would hire.

  • RAG over every source a student uploads

    NoteTube

NoteTube parses videos, PDFs, DOCX, images, articles, and audio into Qdrant with per-user, per-session scoping, and streams grounded answers over server-sent events. Each conversation can use OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Llama, or Mistral.

  • Extraction that refuses to guess

    SigmaCPM

SigmaCPM keeps a value from a tender only if its quote is found on the cited page. Bond terms get a second, adversarial model pass, disagreements go to a person, and token cost is recorded on every call.

  • Generation that keeps the product intact

    Kraftr

Kraftr's pipeline feeds structured garment, model, and scene descriptions into a prompt builder that keeps the wardrobe and the model's identity locked across angles, with moderation on every generation.

  • Vision models that never leave the building

    Acasa Sentinel

Acasa Sentinel runs YOLOv8, plate OCR, and DINOv2 appearance search locally, so no footage or number plate is sent to a third-party API.

Who you get

One developer, and a senior behind them.

We are a small team, not a bench of hundreds. You get a developer who worked on the systems above, and a senior engineer who reviews every pull request before it reaches you. You talk to the developer before you sign, and the trial week shows you how they work in your codebase.

AI skills you can expect

  • RAG, embeddings, reranking
  • Qdrant, pgvector
  • OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, open models
  • Document parsing, OCR
  • FastAPI, streaming responses
  • MCP servers
  • Evaluation sets, cost tracking

How it starts

A trial week, then your rhythm.

  1. Before day one

A call about the problem: what people ask or what documents come in, and what a good answer looks like. You meet the developer before anything is signed.

  2. Trial week

A small evaluation set from your real data and a first working slice, such as retrieval over a sample of documents, with a reviewed pull request and a short write-up of the results.

  3. Weeks 2 to 4

The feature growing in your product, scored against the evaluation set on each change, with costs per call reported as they go.

  4. Every month

A review of quality, cost, and usage, and what to improve next.

Risk-free first week: one developer on one defined task. Continue and the week is billed at the normal rate. Stop within the week and you pay nothing.

Engagement models

Three ways to work with a AI developer.

  • Dedicated developer

Full time on your product, about 160 hours a month

An ongoing roadmap and a backlog that will not run out

    $1,500–2,000 a month

  • Part-time developer

Half time, about 80 hours a month, on fixed days

A product that is live and needs steady work, not a sprint

    $750–1,000 a month

  • Fixed scope

A defined piece of work, priced before we start

A feature, a migration, or an MVP with a clear finish line

    From $1,500, priced per scope

Time zones

How your day overlaps with ours.

We set our working day around yours, with at least 4 hours of overlap every working day, including a daily call for US clients in their morning. India is on UTC+5:30 with no daylight saving. Here is what that means from where you are.

  • UAE

    Dubai

    Your 08:30–17:30 is our 10:00–19:00

    IST is 1 h 30 min ahead

    Your whole working day

Work like a team in the next building. Calls any time in your day.

  • UK

    London

Your 09:00–13:00 is our 14:30–18:30 (13:30–17:30 in summer), longer on request

IST is 5 h 30 min ahead (4 h 30 min in British Summer Time)

    At least 4 hours

Standup at the start of your day, pairing until your lunch, a written update before you log off.

  • Australia

    Sydney

Your 13:00–17:00 is our 08:30–12:30 (07:30–11:30 in summer)

    IST is 4 h 30 min behind (5 h 30 min in Australian summer)

    At least 4 hours

We start early so your afternoon is shared. The work lands before your next morning.

  • US East

    New York

Your 08:00–12:00 is our 18:30–22:30 (17:30–21:30 in summer)

    IST is 10 h 30 min ahead (9 h 30 min in US summer)

At least 4 hours, with a call every working day

A call at the start of your day, and a pull request waiting each morning that was built while you slept.

  • US West

    San Francisco

Your 08:00–12:00 is our 21:30–01:30 (20:30–00:30 in summer)

    IST is 13 h 30 min ahead (12 h 30 min in US summer)

At least 4 hours, with a call every working day

We shift late for your morning: a daily call, then the work continues through your afternoon.

Ownership

You own the code.

  • Repositories sit in your GitHub or GitLab organization from the first commit.
  • Cloud accounts and credentials are yours; we work with access you grant and can revoke.
  • If you stop, nothing is held back: the code, the docs, and the deploy steps stay with you.

Honest trade-offs

When you should not hire an AI developer from us

If you need model research or to train a large model from scratch, hire a research team. We have not fine-tuned a language model for a production system, so if fine-tuning is the core of the job, we will say so before you sign. And if a better prompt in your existing tool would solve it, we will tell you that instead.

Questions

Before you hire a AI developer.

Do you hire out RAG developers?

Yes. Retrieval is our specialty: NoteTube's grounded chat and SigmaCPM's page-targeted retrieval both run in production.

Which models do you work with?

The ones that fit the job and your data rules. NoteTube offers OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Llama, and Mistral per conversation; SigmaCPM calls models through OpenRouter.

Can our data stay private?

Yes. Keys and data stay on your servers or cloud account, and where data must not leave at all, models can run locally, as in Acasa Sentinel.

How do you keep AI costs under control?

By recording token cost on every call, choosing the smallest model that passes the evaluation set, and retrieving only the pages a question needs.

Can the developer add AI to our existing app?

Yes, usually as a separate service or background jobs beside your backend, so a slow model call never blocks a page.
