Fashion ecommerce development

A store where every SKU looks like it was shot.

Fashion ecommerce development is building the online store an apparel brand sells from: product pages, size and colour variants, on-model images, search, and checkout. Acasa Labs builds them from parts we already run: Kraftr for on-model catalogue images, and the product data and image sitemaps we built for Siona Jewels' catalogue.

The problem

A template store makes every brand look the same.

Most fashion brands start on a store template, and it works until it does not. Every SKU needs photos in several sizes for several channels, half the range is still on flat-lays, product pages carry one line of text Google cannot do much with, and the store looks like every other brand on the same theme. The hard part of fashion ecommerce is rarely the cart. It is the catalogue: images, variants, and product data, at the pace of each drop.

What we build

  1. 01

    Product pages built for variants

Sizes, colours, fabrics, and fits on one product, each with its own images and stock, so a shopper sees the colour they picked on a model.

  2. 02

    On-model images for every SKU

Kraftr's pipeline feeding your catalogue, so new SKUs get on-model images at up to 4K without a shoot.

  3. 03

Found on Google and Google Images

Product structured data on every page and product photos in an image sitemap, as on the catalogue we built for Siona Jewels.

  4. 04

    Payments and marketplaces

Checkout through Razorpay or Stripe, in more than one currency, and images sized for Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, and Shopify from the same upload.

From production

From Kraftr and Siona Jewels.

  • One photo per SKU

    Kraftr

Kraftr turns one flat-lay or hanger shot per SKU into on-model images at up to 4K, in ten aspect ratios, so the store and every marketplace get the right size from one upload.

  • Images that actually cache

    Kraftr

Signed image URLs stay byte-identical within a day, so browsers and CDNs actually cache them, which matters on pages that are mostly photos.

  • Product data Google can read

    Siona Jewels

Siona's catalogue carries Product, Organization, FAQ, and breadcrumb structured data, and lists every product photo in the sitemap for Google Images and Lens.

  • New products without a developer

    Siona Jewels

Siona's team adds designs, collections, and photos in Payload CMS, and the sitemap and llms.txt update themselves, with no deploy.

Honest trade-offs

Shopify, or a custom store?

If you are launching with a few dozen SKUs, use Shopify with a good theme, and use Kraftr for the images. That is the cheaper, faster path, and we will tell you so. A custom store makes sense when you run a large range with complex variants, sell B2B and D2C from one catalogue, want your own marketplace for other labels, or have outgrown what theme edits and apps can do.

  2. 02Client work

    Siona Jewels

A jewellery manufacturer's catalogue that buyers find on Google and in ChatGPT, and that turns a design number into a lead.

Siona Jewels is a fine jewellery manufacturer in Mumbai selling to retailers and private-label brands in India, the US, Canada, and the UAE. We built their B2B catalogue site, the CMS behind it, the email automation that routes every enquiry to sales, and the search and AI-answer setup that gets them found.

Questions

Fashion ecommerce development questions we get asked.

Have you built a fashion store before?

Our fashion work is Kraftr, our AI catalog studio for fashion and jewelry brands, and our catalogue work is Siona Jewels. A fashion store combines the two: product data and pages from one, on-model images from the other.

Do you build fashion stores on Shopify?

We work with Shopify when it fits, and Kraftr's images are already sized for it. For larger ranges or custom flows, we build on Next.js with a CMS your team runs.

Can the store sell in more than one currency?

Yes. Kraftr itself bills in six currencies through Razorpay, and a store can take payments in each market you sell to.

How do new drops get onto the site?

Your team adds products in the CMS, Kraftr produces the on-model images, and the product pages, sitemap, and image sitemap update without a deploy.

Can the same images go to Myntra and Amazon?

Yes. Kraftr outputs ten aspect ratios, sized for Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, and Shopify, from the same source photo.
