The problem

An interior design firm sells with photographs. They needed a site that shows the work well and a way to publish new projects without calling a developer every time.

We are the IT partner for The Sharp Interiors, a residential and commercial interior design firm. We built their website and a custom CMS for their project gallery, and we look after the rest of their technology.

What we built

  1. 01

    A portfolio site

Services, team, and a project gallery built to show large interior photography without slowing the page.

  2. 02

A custom admin for the gallery

Drag-and-drop ordering of projects and of images inside each project, feature images, and visibility toggles.

  3. 03

    Validated uploads

Schema validation on every project, with image type and size limits, and storage cleanup when a project is removed.

  4. 04

    Ongoing IT

Hosting, domain, analytics, and the changes that come up month to month. One team to call.

Engineering notes

  • Next.js App Router with Firebase Firestore and Storage, hosted on Firebase App Hosting.
  • Zod schemas as the single source of truth for the CMS.
  • Separate client and admin SDKs, so writes only happen server-side.

Stack

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Firebase
  • Google Analytics
